And the day after spotting the first kangaroos (or wallabies), today I sighted a koala for the first time.
It was in Steve Irwin‘s Australia Zoo.

Even if I saw some traffic signs before…
… I didn’t see any real kangaroo until today.
They are technically wallabies and we found them in the University of the Sunshine Coast campus, located at Sippy Downs on Queensland.

Spent most of the day gardening today. Rearranged some plants as well as pruning some trees and bushes. And got two new citrus trees: a lime tree for the frontyard and a grafted lemon/orange tree for the backyard.

Had a package shipped from New York at the end of November with a set of 2-line Panasonic phones. I had it delivered today (over three weeks after it was shipped)…
It looks like USPS used it to test the water resistance of Panasonic devices…

Finally picked up the furniture – and the bikes, kitchen utensils, books, clothes, shoes,… – we shipped from New York!
The procedure is as follows:
- Vanguard Logistics Office. Obtain some documents from the agent (and pay them for “handling”). The agent then notifies the warehouse that goods may be released.
- Australian Customs (located by the International Terminal). Deliver the “Unaccompanied Personal Effects Statement” form, packing list and some other documents obtained from the agent. Pay the fee and get the documents stamped.
- P&O Trans Australia (POTA) Warehouse. The customs officer inspects the goods (they were mainly interested in wooden products and bicycles). When customs is finished, they notify the warehouse that the goods can be released. Your costs are worked out and then you are free to leave.
Australians are paranoid about introducing alien species, pests or diseases into their country.

As you might have noticed, I managed to get my personal page put up. I propose this site to act as an archive for all the things I consider worth showing.
While creating this site I intend to learn and improve my English skills. If you may come across any mistakes, please, let me know.
